Career
His first-ever professional fight was a loss to Adrian Abu. It was held in September 2004. Since then, he has been in 46 fights, winning 32. Before he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship in November 2008, he fought for XFC Brazil, TFMMA, Fury FC, Pancrase, and Arena BH Combat.In November 2008, he joined the UFC but lost his first and second fights to Jeremy Stephens and Tyson Griffin, respectively. After that, he won three times in a row from 2009 to 2010. His longest winning streak in the UFC was five fights between May 2012 and August 2013. In that period, he beat Kamal Shalorus, Anthony Njokuani, Mark Bocek, Evan Dunham, and Donald Cerrone.
From June 2014 to December 2015, he won another 5 straight fights including his second go with Cerrone, which was held in December.
Following those two streaks, he had a pretty even win-loss record. Some of his wins include those against Kevin Lee in May 2019 and Bryan Barberena in December 2022.
