Bryan Barberena, nicknamed “Bam Bam”, is an American professional mixed martial arts fighter. He has fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the King of the Cage.

Career

Barberena turned pro in October 2009. His fist fight was against Dirk Thiedeman for the Dakota Fighting Championships. In the same year, he also fought for The Cage Inc. In February 2010, he joined the King of the Cage and lost to Derek Smith. His next match for KOTC was a win against David Barnett.

He continued to split his time between Dakota FC and KOTC. Then in December 2014, he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship. His first fight was a win against John Ellenberger. This was followed by a loss to Chad Laprise and then a win against Sage Northcut in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Since his debut in the UFC, he has had a pretty even win-loss ratio. His most recent win was against Robbie Lawler in July 2022. In December 2022, he lost to Rafael dos Anjos.
