Beatriz Haddad Maia was born in São Paulo, Brazil, to Ayrton Elias Maia Filho and Lais Scaff Haddad. She stands 1.85 m tall and is left-handed with a two-handed backhand. In doubles, she won titles at Madrid with Victoria Azarenka and at the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai with Veronika Kudermetova.
In 2024, Haddad Maia won her first WTA 500 singles title at the Korea Open in Seoul and finished runner-up in Cleveland.
She reached the quarterfinals at the US Open and won the Adelaide International doubles title with Taylor Townsend. She continued her strong doubles performances with a runner-up finish at the Adelaide International in 2025 with Laura Siegemund.
