Parthiv Patel is a retired professional cricket player from India. He played for the Indian National Team from 2002 to 2018. He also played for a number of domestic teams including Gujarat and the Mumbai Indians. He was also once a part of the Chennai Super Kings.

Player Profile and Personal Life

Parthiv Ajay Patel was born on March 9, 1985, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He stands 160 cm tall and bats left-handed and was a wicket-keeper batsman for most of his professional career.

He is handicapped after he lost a finger when he was nine years old. He quickly adapted and in 2002, he became the youngest wicket keeper to represent a country in test matches.

Professional Career

He started his professional career playing for the Gujarat Cricket Team. He was with them from 2004 to 2020. In 2002, he made his international debut when he was capped by the Indian National Team to play in a Test match against England.

He made his One Day International debut in 2003 and his T20I debut in 2011.

In 2008, he started playing for the Chennai Super Kings and was with them through to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, he played for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2014, he signed with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the first time. He would sign with them again in 2018 and play through 2020.

From 2015 to 2017, he also played for the Mumbai Indians. In December 2020, he announced that he was retiring from all forms of cricket.
