Motion Offense is a basketball term that defines a type of offense. During a motion offense, all offensive players move at the same time using cuts and screens to get the best possible shot.
When a motion offense is played, it is important for the offense team to get a good read of the defense.
Typically this move or strategy relies on the ball and player movement as well as the player’s quick ability to read or know the strategy of the defensive team. It can be done all over again without arranging the original position of the players and it also comes with several variations.
