High percentage shot

A High percentage shot is a basketball term used to describe a shot that is more likely to go into the basket. Examples of this include a layup.

Essentially, it is a shot that has a high chance or a high percentage of being made.

High-percentage shots are usually made closer to the basket.

Example of Use:

- Shaq O’Neal turned down a three-point opportunity in favor of a high percentage shot made closer to the basket.
