As of March 2022, she holds the No.9 spot in the world rankings. Coached by Conchita Martínez, the Spanish player has earned more than US$24 million throughout her professional career which started in 2012.

Garbiñe Muguruza Blanco was born on October 8, 1993 in Caracas, Venezuela. She currently resides in Geneva, Switzerland, and is coached by Conchita Martínez, a former professional tennis player. Blanco is a right-handed player with a two-handed backhand.She was born in Venezuela and has been playing tennis since she was three years old. The Bruguera Tennis Academy near Barcelona near Barcelona served as her first training venue. She has dual citizenship for Spain and Venezuela but she usually represents Spain in sporting events.
Career
She turned professional in March 2012. Early in her career, she had successes as a doubles player. In 2014, she made notable finishes in the Grand Slam events including a Semi-Finals finish for the doubles at Roland Garros. That year, she also made it to the second round of the Australian Open and the third round of Wimbledon, and the US Open.A year later in 2015, she made it to the finals of the WTA Tour Finals doubles event. The next year, she made it to the doubles event of that year’s Olympics. 2016 also saw her make strides in her singles career, most notably winning the women’s singles title at that year’s French Open. The next year, in 2017, she won the singles title at Wimbledon. That year, she had a career-high ranking of No.1. She achieved this in September 2017.
In 2020, she made it to the Finals at Melbourne Park. In 2021, she was in the fourth round of the US Open. She also won the WTA Finals as a singles player in 2021 and she made it to the quarter-finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
