Career
As a junior player, Ymer made it to the final of the 2015 Wimbledon Championships. He turned professional in 2015.He made his grand slam debut in 2020 in the US Open where he made it to the first round. In 2021, he appeared in all four grand slam events, he made it to the third round of the Australian Open, French Open, and the US Open. He also made it to the second round of Wimbledon.
In 2022, he appeared in the Australian Open before losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the opening. In February, he made it to the semi-finals of the Open Sud de France.
