Aleksandr Nedovyesov is a tennis player, who is formerly and commonly known as Oleksandr Nedovyesov. Nedovyesov has dual citizenship in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, but he mainly represents Ukraine until December 2013. Nedovyesov is specializing in both singles and doubles at the ATP Challenger Tour. Currently, he is ranked the World Number 72 in the double tournaments, while he went down to World Number 528 in the singles.
Junior Career
Nedovyesov was born and raised in Alushta, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union, and currently residing in Almaty, Kazakhstan. At a young age, he showed interest in playing tennis, until he joined the junior tournament. As a junior tennis player, he had earned a record of 29-16 and became the World Number 33 in the ITF junior rankings. One of his best performances is when he joined the 2004 French and Wimbledon Open Juniors and reached the second round.
Professional Career
Nedovyesov mainly focuses on his doubles career and he is often paired up with Dmitry Tursunov. Their partnership started at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, where they have defeated Benoit Paire and Tomasz Bednarek. However, they were not able to manage to advance as they were beaten by Julian Knowle and Marcelo Melo.
Nedovyesov had a colorful career in singles in 2014, as he managed to climb up to World Number 72 at that time. He debuted at the Grand Slam tournaments during the Australian Open, where he was defeated by Tomas Berdych. He joined the French Open and won against Somdev Devvarman. He also encountered Berdych in the French Open, and he ensured to win against him.
