Phil Foden is an English professional footballer. As of the 2025 season, he plays as a midfielder for the Premier League club Manchester City and the England National Team. A product of Manchester City's youth academy, he has won seventeen honors with the club, including a continental treble in the 2022–2023 season.

Philip Walter Foden was born on May 28, 2000, in Stockport, England. The English midfielder stands 171 cm tall.He has three children with his long-term girlfriend, Rebecca Cooke. Foden wears the number 47 shirt and has a matching tattoo on his neck in honor of his grandfather, Ronnie, who died at the age of 47.

Career
Foden's breakthrough into professional football came in 2017 when he won the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Ball award following England's successful campaign. He made his debut for Manchester City the same year and was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.He became the youngest recipient of a Premier League winner's medal in 2018. Since then, he has made over 300 appearances for the club. In the 2022–23 season, he was a key part of the team that secured a historic continental treble.
In 2024, Foden was named the Premier League Player of the Season and the PFA Players' Player of the Year.
At the international level, Foden represented England at multiple youth levels before making his senior debut in September 2020. He was part of the England squads that finished as runners-up at UEFA Euro 2020 and UEFA Euro 2024, and he also competed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
