Philip Foden is a soccer player playing for Manchester City. He is an England international midfielder/winger.
Club Career
Foden was born in Stockport, just outside Manchester, and he joined City in his youth. In 2016, he signed an Academy scholarship with City.
He debuted for City in November 2017 against Dutch club Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League. He made his Premier League debut the following month against Tottenham. He played 10 games that season, including a cameo in the EFL Cup triumph.
Over the next few seasons he began to emerge, truly making it in 2020–21 and 2021–22 when he was voted Premier League Young Player of the Season in back-to-back campaigns. He also won the PFA Young Player of the Year twice. All along he was part of a City side that won the Premier League numerous times.
He marked his ground as a supreme talent in 2023-24, scoring 19 league goals and 27 in all competitions, as City won the title again. Foden was crowned individually as the Premier League Player of the Season and Manchester City Player of the Year.
International Career
Foden played for England at under-age level and debuted at senior international level in 2020 against Iceland.
He appeared for England at Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.
