Phil Foden Revels in Manchester City’s Champions League Progress

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has taken to Instagram to revel in his side’s progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season.

City got the better of Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the second leg of their Round of 16 tie on Tuesday evening.

Kevin De Bruyne put the former Premier League champions in the lead after just 12 minutes, and Ilkay Gundogan doubled the advantage just six minutes later.

Having won the first leg of the tie 2-0 in Germany, Pep Guardiola’s side have progressed to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition 4-0 on aggregate.

City midfielder Foden has taken to Instagram to express his delight at his side’s progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
