Kenshiro Teraji was born on January 6, 1992, in Jōyō, Kyoto, Japan. The Japanese fighter is 164 cm tall and has a wingspan of 164 cm.He has competed in the Light Flyweight and Flyweight divisions. He fights from an orthodox position and is the son of former Japanese Middleweight champion Hisashi Teraji, who also serves as his trainer.
Career
Teraji began his professional campaign in August 2014 with a six-round unanimous decision victory. He quickly ascended the ranks, capturing the WBC Light Flyweight Title in May 2017 by defeating Ganigan Lopez. He successfully defended this title eight times before a stunning TKO loss to Masamichi Yabuki in 2021.He regained the WBC title in a 2022 rematch with a third-round knockout of Yabuki. Teraji then unified the division by stopping WBA Champion Hiroto Kyoguchi in November 2022. He successfully defended his unified status against Anthony Olascuaga, Hekkie Budler, and Carlos Cañizales.
In 2025, Teraji moved up to the Flyweight division. He achieved a historic victory in March 2025 by defeating Seigo Yuri Akui via 12th-round TKO to win the unified WBA and WBC Flyweight World Titles. His reign ended in July 2025 when he lost the unified titles via split decision to Ricardo Sandoval.
