Career
Sandoval began his professional campaign in June 2016 with a third-round TKO victory. He rose to prominence with a knockout win over Jay Harris in a 2021 IBF Title Eliminator in the UK.His first major setback came in July 2022, when he lost a close majority decision to David Jiménez in a WBA Title Eliminator. Undeterred, he rebuilt his standing with a string of victories.
In July 2025, Sandoval achieved his career highlight by traveling to Japan and defeating the highly regarded unified champion Kenshiro Teraji. Sandoval recovered from a fifth-round knockdown to win a split decision, capturing the WBA and WBC Flyweight World Titles in a massive upset.
