Keegan Murray is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Player Profile and Personal Life

Keegan Murray was born on August 19, 2000, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States of America. He stands 203 cm tall and his weight is listed at 97 kg. Murray is a right-handed player and is a small forward.

His father Kenyon Murray played college basketball. He has a twin brother named Kris Murray who is also a professional basketball player.

High School and College Career

Murray played basketball for Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As a senior, he was named Metro Player of the Year.

Murray spent a postgraduate year at DME Sports Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida.

As a three-star recruit, Murray committed to play college basketball for the University of Iowa. Murray was named the Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player, helping lead Iowa to the 2022 Big Ten Tournament championship. He earned consensus first-team All-American honors. Also in 2022, he was given the Karl Malone Award.

Professional Career

Murray was selected with the 4th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2022 NBA Draft. He was named NBA Summer League MVP.

In 2023, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. As of the end of 2024, he still plays for the Kings.
