Felipe Meligeni Rodrigues Alves was born and raised in Campinas, Brazil, and surprisingly, won the 2016 Doubles US Open with Juan Carlos Manuel Aguilar. He debuted as a professional tennis player in 2020 at the Rio Open.His sister Carolina Alves is also a tennis player, while his uncle, Fernando Meligeni taught him more about tennis. His uncle formerly played at the 1996 Olympic Summer Games, and the 1999 French Open.
Career
Alves' turned professional during the 2020 Rio Open, however, he suffered a loss to Dominic Thiem. His first time winning a title was during the Sao Paolo Open but was defeated by Frederico Silva in the final round.In 2021, he won a doubles title alongside Rafael Matos at the Cordoba Open. Due to his striking performance, he managed to defeat Benoit Paire and Romain Arneodo.
