Storm Sanders is a professional tennis player who came from Australia. Sanders came from a military family since her father is working in the navy, while her brother is in the army. At the young age of 6 years old, she took interest in playing tennis. She was also invited to play Baseliner afterward. Sanders is specializing in the doubles division. As of November 2021, she was ranked ATP World Number 30 in doubles.

Professional Career

Sanders had a productive and colorful career in tennis. In 2013, she debuted in the 674th spot in Apia International Sydney. During the first round of the tournament, she managed to defeat Eugenie Bouchard, however, got lost against Misaki Doi in the second round. Even so, Sanders was still qualified for the wildcard round in the Australian Open but got lost to Yuliya Beygelzimer.

She also participated in the Launceston Tennis International, where she became the winner of a $25K prize money. She was able to defeat Mari Tanaka and Olivia Rogowska in the qualifying and main draw, respectively.

In 2014, she joined Hobart International where she defeated the controversial Peng Shuai. In the second round, she faced Kirsten Flipkens but got lost in a close fight. However, her loss earned her a ticket to the wildcard of the Australian Open.

Career Breakthrough

In 2021, she successfully made it through the mixed doubles with Marc Polmans in the Australian Open. By the following month, she made it to the Adelaide International and lose to Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinals. This also marks her first time to enter the WTA Top 200.

Her competence went on until the French Open as it was her first time to be qualified for the Grand Slam. In May, Sanders and her partner, Caroline Dolehide was able to reach the semifinals in the Wimbledon Open. Sanders also participated in the Tokyo Olympics, where she partnered with the current ATP World Number 1, Ashleigh Barty. However, they have only reached the quarterfinals.
