The duo went head to head against Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, a Pakistani, and Czech Kveta Peschke during the U.S. Open mixed doubles final round, ending the match in a 6-4, 6-4 game.

Bryan and Qureshi are also competing in the males doubles tournament, with Bryan announcing that the foundation he shares with his brother, Mike, are donating money to aid Pakistan in its recovery from the flood catastrophe.

According to Bryan, Qureshi and his partner, Indian Rohan Bopanna, are great guys. In fact, he states, “Everyone in the locker room likes them. Just hearing about the problem, talked about it with my brother and my dad, and just wanted to do it.”

When asked about the donation, Qureshi said, “Every little bit helps… I’ve been trying to send some good news back home from here for two weeks… It’s a really, really kind gesture. I owe them.”

Qureshi adds, “I’ve spent the last 14 years trying to put tennis in the spotlight in my country… Cricket’s like a religion there. This moment is like a highlight in my career. When I was growing up, I thought maybe someday I could win a Grand Slam or make it to one Grand Slam final. But two Grand Slam finals in a week? It’s unbelievable.”

As for Huber and Bryan’s celebration of their victory, Huber said with a laugh, “He wants to chest bump, chest bump, chest bump… I’m like, no. Do it with your girlfriend; don’t chest bump me.”
