Nemanja Vidic is a Serbian football player who currently features for the English and European powerhouse Manchester United. He plays as a centre-back and is rated as one of the best defenders in the world.
Vidic commenced his professional club football career with Red Star Belgrade in 2000 and after playing for them until 2004, joined Spartak Moscow.
Two years later Manchester United signed him and since then Vidic has gone on to establish himself as one of the best defenders in the world.

Vidic won the Premier League with the Red Devils in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013 and the Champions League in 2008. He has also won the Football League Cup thrice and the FA Community Shield thrice.
Vidic made his international debut for Serbia & Montenegro against Italy on October 12, 2002 in a Euro 2004 qualifier. He was part of his national team in the 2006 World Cup finals, following which he went on to represent Serbia. He played for Serbia at the 2010 World Cup finals and on October 24, 2011 announced his retirement from international football, having scored two goals in 56 matches for his nation.
