Daniel Andre Sturridge is a young England international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Chelsea. He can either play as a striker or a winger.
Sturridge progressed through the youth academy of Manchester City and made his debut for the senior side in 2007. He was the youngest player to make a first team appearance in the Premiership in 2007. MATCH magazine’s “Annual 2007” named Sturridge as the “Next Big Big Thing” in British football.
However, Sturridge failed to establish himself as a regular first team play at the City of Manchester Stadium and in 2009 joined Chelsea. However, the young Englishman also failed to play regularly at Stamford Bridge, having played on loan for Bolton Wanderers in 2011. Sturridge won the Premier League in 2009-10, the FA Cup in 2010 and 2012 and the Champions League in 2011-12.
Sturridge made his international debut for England in November 2011 against Sweden and was part of the Great Britain squad for the 2012 London Olympics.
