Kai Lukas Havertz was born on June 11, 1999, in Aachen, Germany. The tall forward stands 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in). He cites Toni Kroos, Ronaldinho, Andrés Iniesta, Zinedine Zidane, and Kaká as his footballing idols.

Havertz has been in a relationship with Sophia Weber since 2018. The couple were engaged in July 2023 and married a year later on July 18, 2024. They welcomed their first child, a son, in March 2025.

Career

Havertz graduated from Bayer Leverkusen's Academy in 2016, setting records as the club's youngest-ever Bundesliga debutant and goalscorer. He also became the youngest player to reach 50 and 100 league appearances in the German top flight. His impressive rise led to a high-profile transfer to Chelsea in 2020 for €73.4 million.

During his time in London with Chelsea, Havertz developed a reputation for scoring in big moments, netting the winning goals in both the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final and the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup Final. He moved to Arsenal in June 2023 for a reported fee of £65 million.
