Robert “Robbie” David Keane is a Republic of Ireland international football player who currently features for the English Premier League giants Liverpool. He is a striker and is rated as one of the top players in English club football.
Robbie Keane is renowned for his pace, tricks and flicks and made his professional club football for Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1997. After two seasons he was off to Coventry City and in 2002 was signed by Italian giants Inter Milan for 13 million pounds.
But he fell out of favour at Inter and was loaned out to Leeds United in 2001. After 9 goals in 18 Premier League matches, Keane was signed on a permanent contract by Leeds United in the summer of 2001 and next summer he was signed by north London side Tottenham Hotspur for 7 million pounds.

Keane scored 13 goals in the Premiership for Spurs in his first season in 2002-2003 and went on to become the club captain and was an icon at Spurs. He would go onto feature in a total of 197 English Premier League matches for Spurs and scored 80 goals.
In the summer of 2008, Robbie Keane was signed by Liverpool for just over 20 million pounds.
Robbie Keane made his international debut for Republic of Ireland in 1999 and has played 81 matches for his nation, scoring 33 goals for his country. He played at the 2002 World Cup.
