Liverpool striker Robbie Keane has been reported to be keen on staying at Anfiled and fighting on for a place in the starting xi.
Keane was signed by Liverpool from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2008 for a whooping 20 million pounds but has found life at Anfield very tough.
There have been rumours that he would be leaving Anfield this month and reports have suggested that he would be moving back to Spurs.
But an unnamed source in the Liverpool Echo has been quoted as saying that Keane is keen on staying on at the Merseyside and fighting for his place.
The source says:
“Robbie does not want to leave Liverpool.
“When he signed for Liverpool last summer he said it was his dream move to be able to sign for the club he supported as a boy.
“He was not in the team on Sunday but now he just wants to fight for his place.”
