Mohamed Salah Ghaly is a soccer player playing for Liverpool FC. He also represents the Egypt national team and appeared at the 2018 World Cup.
Career
Basyoun-born Salah broke through in his homeland with Al Mokawloon, before joining FC Basel in 2012 where he was snapped up by Chelsea after two seasons in Switzerland.
Salah never quite made it with Chelsea, making a handful of appearances, but mostly spent time away on loan, with Fiorentina and AS Roma. He excelled with the latter.

In 2016, he signed permanently with AS Roma, scoring 14 and 15 goals in back-to-back Serie A campaigns.
In 2017, he joined Liverpool in a deal believed to be worth 45 million euros. He’s created record-breaking individual success since moving to the Reds, winning a long list of awards, including the Premier League Golden Boot in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. He was also named African Footballer of the Year in both 2017 and 2018.
He won Premier League Player of the Season in 2017-18 and helped Liverpool win the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League, before helping the Reds win the Premier League title in 2019-20 with 19 goals that season.
Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot again 2021-22, while he was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year in 2021-22.
