Simone Perrotta is an Italy international footballer currently featuring for the Italian giants AS Roma. He plays as a midfielder and has won the World Cup with Italy in 2006. Perrotta is noted for his drive from the midfield and his marvelous passing ability.

Perrotta is a product of the youth academy of Reggina Calcio and made his debut in the Italian Serie B in 1995 and in the summer of 1998 was signed by Juventus but after one season was switched to modest Bari. Since the 2001-2002 season to the summer of 2004 he was one of the mainstays for Serie A newcomers Chievo Verona.
Since 2004 Simone Perrotta has been with Roma and has been a regular for the Roman giants.
Simone Perrotta played in all the matches for Italy in the 2006 World Cup and won the elite trophy.
