Ashley Williams is a Wales international football player who currently features for the Premier League club Swansea City. He plays as a defender.
Williams commenced his professional club football career at Hednesford Town in 2001 and was on their books for two years, moving to Stockport County. He was a revelation at the country, scoring three goals in 162 league appearances before joining Swansea on loan in 2008.
Williams was impressive in his short stay at the Liberty Stadium, eventually earning himself a permanent contract. He has since developed into becoming one of the best and most important players for the Swans, becoming captain in subsequent years.
Williams made his international debut for Wales in 2008 and has made over 40 international appearances for his country.
