Liverpool youngster Rhys Williams has taken to Twitter to express his delight at making his debut in the Champions League for the Reds this week.

Jurgen Klopp’s side kicked off their 2020-21 Champions League campaign with a narrow 1-0 win against Ajax away from home in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening.

An own goal from Nicolas Tagliafico in the 35th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides in the Group D game in the Netherlands.

Williams did not start the match, but the 19-year-old central defender came on as a substitute in the second minute of injury time when he replaced veteran [[James Milner[[.

The teenager has taken to Twitter to express his delight making his debut for Liverpool in the Champions League.
