The Appel Room of the Lincoln Center served as host for the event that unveiled AlphaTauri’s new F1 car livery, together with the team 2023 fashion collection at New York Fashion Week on Saturday evening.

A singular event brought to life a new Formula 1 livery design, which will feature on Scuderia AlphaTauri AT04.

A sneak peek of the new contender came through the renders as the physical car showcased in New York was its predecessor, the AT03.

The new design introduces the trademark red color of the outfit’s new Principal Partner, PKN ORLEN.

Scuderia AlphaTauri Team Principal, Franz Tost, commented: “As we know, Formula 1 has seen a huge increase in popularity due to the likes of Netflix and social media over the last few years.”

It’s extremely important that we continue to grow in this market, which is why I’m pleased, we were able to launch our 2023 livery here today in New York City to show our appreciation to the US audience.

Likewise, I think it’s great that AlphaTauri could display their new collection at the event, as this year is the first time they’ll sell their clothing here in America.”

Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries will be at the wheel of the AT04 for the Faenza-based squad in 2023.

The 2020-21 FIA Formula E World Champion will debut as a full-time driver in the FIA Formula One world championship when the lights go out on March 5th at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

Speaking about his upcoming season with the Scuderia, De Vries asserted: “I’ve loved attending my first event as a Scuderia AlphaTauri driver. The opportunity to represent the brand at New York Fashion Week has been extremely special for me and really showed me what the brand is about.”

Adding: “The livery looks great, and you can see how the sleek A/W collection has inspired it, so I can’t wait to see it on track.”

The Dutch driver replaces Frenchman Pierre Gasly, who has joined BWT Alpine F1 Team pairing Esteban Ocon.

In 2023, De Vries’s new teammate Tsunoda will compete in his third consecutive season with the outfit at the pinnacle of motorsport following an agreement to retain the Japanese driver for another year.

The 22-year-old graduated from Formula One in 2021 and joined AlphaTauri Honda to contest his rookie season, ending with 32 points under his name.

The first Japanese driver to compete in the series since Kamui Kobayashi (2014) wrapped up his maiden year in the series by scoring a fourth-place finish at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

I’ve had a lot of fun this week in New York City, and it’s also been great to attend the event here today,” he said during the launch event at the Big Apple.

It’s such a cool backdrop for both the fashion collection and our new 2023 livery. The classic Scuderia AlphaTauri colors look great next to the new clothes, and I can’t wait to try both out this season!

However, 2022 proved to be a challenging year for the Italian squad, which reflected on the results, finishing ninth in the constructor’s championship standings, recording just 35 points.

The AT04 will hit the track at winter testing in Bahrain on February 23rd, spanning over three days at the Bahrain International Circuit.
