Pierre Gasly is a racing driver competing for Alpine-Renault under the French Flag in Formula One.
The French racer earned championship titles including the 2016 GP2 Series championship and 2017 Super Formula Championship. He began his career in Formula One by competing in the 2017 Malaysian Grand Prix for Toro Rosso and earned his first victory while participating in the 2020 Italian Grand Prix.
Career
It was in 2006 when the 10-year-old Gasly entered the competitive world of karting. His karting career continued until the end of 2010. By 2011, he made his debut under Formula Renault in the French F4 Championship. During the series, he finished third after competing in 14 races and winning 4. By 2013, he was racing for Tech 1 Racing team and took home 1st place during the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 series boasting a record of 3 wins, 4 poles, and 2 fastest laps as well as 8 podiums and a total of 195 points after competing in 14 races. In 2014 he moved up to the Formula Renault 3.5 series. This was also the time when he was inducted into the Red Bull Junior Team.

While being one of the test drivers for Scuderia Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing, Gasly competed under the GP2 Series, Japanese Super Formula, and Formula E. It was in the 2016 GP2 Series wherein he managed to take 1st place while driving for Prema Racing. In 2018, he managed to get the 2nd place position during the Super Formula series under Team Murgen.
By 2017, Gasly finally made his Formula One racing debut while competing for Torro Rosso. In 2019, he transferred to Red Bull Racing before being demoted back to Torro Rosso before the season ended. Finally, in 2020, he signed a contract with his current team, Scuderia Alpha Tauri.
In 2023, Gasly moved to Alpine on a multi-year contract.
