Mitchell Guy Johnson is a left handed batsman and left arm fast medium bowler who plays for the Australian cricket team. Other than the Australian team, he also played for Queensland and is part of the Western Australia cricket team and the Mumbai Indians, for which he would be playing in 2012 IPL 5 season.

Johnson played his first One day International on 10th December 2005 at Christchurch against New Zealand. In this match, he bowled 9 overs, none of which were maidens, conceded 64 runs and could not take any wicket. New Zealand won this match by 2 wickets with 6 deliveries to spare. Johnson debuted in Test cricket on 8th November 2007 at Brisbane against Sri Lanka. In the 1st innings, he did not get a chance to bat. He bowled 18 overs, out of which 2 were maidens, conceded 49 runs and took 2 wickets. In the 2nd innings, he bowled 19 overs, out of which 5 were maidens, conceded 47 runs and took 2 wickets.
