Carlos Roberto Cuadras Quiroa was born on August 24, 1988, in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, Mexico. Career
Cuadras began his professional campaign in May 2008. He captured his first world title in May 2014, defeating Srisaket Sor Rungvisai via technical decision to win the WBC Super Flyweight belt. He made six successful title defenses before losing a decision to Roman Gonzalez in a 2016 Fight of the Year contender.His career is defined by rivalries with the division's elite, including two battles with Juan Francisco Estrada, both of which he lost in competitive fights (2017 and 2020). In 2022, he fought for the vacant WBC title against Jesse Rodriguez, losing by unanimous decision.
In November 2023, Cuadras rejuvenated his career by defeating fellow former champion Pedro Guevara via split decision to win the interim WBC Super Flyweight title. He was scheduled to defend this title against Andrew Moloney in 2024 but withdrew due to injury.
