Career
Takei began his professional boxing campaign in March 2021 with a first-round TKO victory. Before boxing, he was a dominant force in kickboxing, holding the K-1 Super Bantamweight Championship from 2017 to 2020.He quickly rose through the boxing ranks, winning the OPBF Super Bantamweight Title in 2022. In May 2024, he captured his first world title in just his ninth pro fight, defeating Jason Moloney by unanimous decision to win the WBO Bantamweight Belt at the Tokyo Dome.
He successfully defended the title against Daigo Higa but lost it in September 2025 to Christian Medina Jimenez via a fourth-round TKO, marking his first professional loss.
