Cornerman

A Cornerman in basketball is a versatile player who can play both forward positions.

This player takes the power forward position and is also known as “Stretch Four”. Cornermen often play within close range to the basket, using their strength and size to provide a strong defense in the interior, rebounding and posting up.

The term "cornerman" is sometimes used interchangeably with "Forward," but it specifically refers to players who can switch between the two forward spots. They are typically either a Small Forward who is tall and strong enough to guard power forwards or a Power Forward who is quick enough to defend small forwards.

Cornermen often have a good outside shot, even extending to the three-point line. This allows them to space the floor on offense.

On defense, they use their size and strength to rebound and protect the paint. Some cornermen are so versatile that they can play three or even four positions.
