The NFHS is the National Federation of State High School Associations.
It is an association that governs the rules of competition for sports at the high school level in the United States. Members of the federation are the associations of high schools, private or public at the state level.
The federation was formed in 1920. And has upwards of 18,500 member high schools. They are headquartered at 690 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, Indiana in the United States of America.
