In-n-out, also known as the In and Out Dribble is a counter move or crossover used in basketball. With this dribble, the ball handler fakes a crossover and instead pushes the ball out using the same hand.
It can also be used to refer to a shot that looks like it’s going to go into the basket but instead goes out.
The in-n-out dribble is a strategy used to confuse defensive players guarding ball handlers.
Example of Use
1: Shaq O’Neal unleashed what appeared to be a surefire shot but it rattled in-n-out of the basket and the Lakers lost to the Knicks.
2: Klay Thompson uses an in-n-out dribble to secure his way to the basket for an uncontested layup.
