Lukas Dlouhy is a Czech retired professional tennis player, primarily known as a doubles specialist who achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 5.

He won two Grand Slam doubles titles, partnering with Leander Paes to win the French Open and the US Open in 2009.

Lukas Dlouhy was born on April 9, 1983, in Písek, Czechoslovakia. He stands 185 cm tall and he plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand. He resides in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Professional Career

Lukas Dlouhy turned professional in 2001. He quickly established himself as a doubles specialist, and his career was marked by two significant partnerships. He first teamed up with countryman Pavel Vízner, with whom he reached the semifinals of the French Open in 2006 and two Grand Slam finals in 2007 at the French Open and the US Open.

His most successful partnership was with Leander Paes, with whom he won two major doubles titles, capturing the French Open and the US Open in 2009. In total, Dlouhý won 10 doubles titles on the ATP Tour and reached a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 5 in June 2009.

While primarily a doubles player, Dlouhý also had some success in singles, reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 73 in April 2006. His best singles Grand Slam result was reaching the third round of the French Open in 2006.

Following his playing career, Dlouhý transitioned into coaching, notably serving as the last coach for fellow Czech player Barbora Strycova before she ended her career.

Dlouhý retired from professional tennis in 2018.
