Melanie Oudin
Melanie Oudin is an American former professional tennis player.
The former World Junior No. 2 was a member of the American Fed Cup team from 2009 to 2011 and the winner of the 2011 US Open mixed-doubles title with fellow American player Jack Sock.

Melanie Jennings Oudin was born on September 23, 1991, in Marietta, Georgia, USA. She stands 1.68 m (5 ft 6 in) tall and plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand.She has a twin sister, Katherine, and a younger sister, Christina. She started playing tennis at the age of seven and was homeschooled in seventh grade to focus on her tennis career. Her idol is Justine Henin because "she proved you don't have to be tall to win things."
Professional Career
Oudin turned professional in 2008. She won one WTA singles title and six ITF titles, reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 31 in April 2010.She is best known for her run at the 2009 US Open, where she reached the quarterfinals as a 17-year-old, becoming the youngest woman to do so since Serena Williams in 1999. In mixed doubles, she won the US Open in 2011 with her partner Jack Sock.
Oudin retired on August 18, 2017, due to numerous health issues and injuries.
