Daniel Gimeno-Traver
Daniel Gimeno-Traver broke into the professional tennis scene when he was only eighteen years old. He was born on August 7, 1985 in Valencia, Spain and turned professional in the year 2004.
Daniel is currently placed 56th on the ATP rankings. In 2008 alone, he has achieved an ATP record of 5-6 all on clay surface. His prize money for 2008 sums up to $123,818 and has won a total of $280,731 career prize money which isn’t bad for a 23 year old, up and coming star in tennis.
Daniel is still an active tennis player who is currently involved in the ATP Tour. However, Daniel has yet to prove that he can make it as one of Spain’s top tennis players. The highest ranking he has achieved in his career so far happened on September 13, 2010 when he was ranked number 53. He has a singles career record of 36-59 and has yet to win a career singles title. He has a 10-25 doubles career record and still has yet to win a career doubles title. Daniel’s highest achieved ranking in the doubles circuit was number 153rd on September 21, 2009.
Daniel has been actively involved in several Grand Slam events. Although he hasn’t been quite successful in the ATP Tour, Daniel has been quite a hit in the Challengers and Futures circuit. He has won 2 Challengers in the years 2004 and 2008 and has won three futures.
