Career

Arnaldi began his career on the ITF Futures and ATP Challenger Tours, collecting multiple singles titles and breaking into the ATP Top 150 in 2022.

That year, he won his maiden Challenger title at the Internazionali di Tennis d'Abruzzo and made his ATP and Masters 1000 debuts at the Rome Masters after winning pre-qualification tournaments. He also won gold in men’s singles at the 2022 Mediterranean Games and participated in the Next Gen ATP Finals as an alternate.

2023 was a breakthrough year for Arnaldi. He won his third Challenger title at the Murcia Open and broke into the Top 100 in May. He made his Grand Slam main draw debut at the French Open, reaching the second round, and later reached the fourth round at the US Open with wins over Jason Kubler, Arthur Fils, and 16th seed Cameron Norrie.

Notably, Arnaldi recorded his first Top 10 win by defeating World No. 4 Casper Ruud at the Madrid Masters. He also made his Wimbledon debut and reached his first ATP semifinal in Umag.

In 2024, Arnaldi continued his ascent, reaching the fourth round at the French Open after upsetting sixth seed Andrey Rublev and making the semifinals at the National Bank Open in Canada, his first at the Masters 1000 level.

He also reached the quarterfinals at the Barcelona Open and the third round at the Miami Open, notching wins over several seeded players. Arnaldi finished the year as Italy’s No. 4 player.
