She achieved her career-high singles ranking of World No. 89 in March 2008 and her doubles ranking of No. 66 in August 2009.Her best performance on the WTA Tour came when she reached the semifinals of the Bell Challenge, which helped her break into the top 100 for the first time in her career in November 2007. During that run, she defeated Alizé Cornet and Vania King before losing to Julia Vakulenko in three sets.
In 2007, she was also drafted by the Boston Lobsters of the World Team Tennis pro league.
Ditty competed in the main draw of all four major tournaments in 2008, a notable achievement in her career. Her best Grand Slam result was reaching the third round of the US Open in doubles in 2008. Ditty retired from professional tennis in 2012. She sadly passed away from cancer on August 31, 2021.
