Ekaterina Bychkova is a Russian former professional tennis player who achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 66 and a doubles ranking of World No. 106.

She won 10 singles and five doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit and famously defeated defending champion Svetlana Kuznetsova in the first round of the 2005 US Open.

She began playing tennis after being introduced to the sport by her mother, Liudmila Bychkova, who also coached her. Her father's name is Andrey Bychkov. She trained at the Spartak and Chajka tennis clubs and currently resides in Moscow.

Professional Career

Bychkova turned professional in 2000. She reached her best singles ranking of World No. 66 in February 2006. She won 10 singles titles and five doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.

A significant highlight of her career was her victory over defending champion Svetlana Kuznetsova in the first round of the US Open in 2005. Her best Grand Slam singles results include a second-round appearance at the Australian Open in 2006, Wimbledon in 2006, and the US Open in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. In doubles, her best Grand Slam result was a second-round appearance at the Australian Open in 2007 and the French Open in 2006.
