Nuria Llagostera Vives is a Spanish former tennis player who reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 35 and a doubles ranking of World No. 5.

She won 16 doubles titles, including the WTA Finals in 2009, and reached the semifinals of the French Open in 2010 and 2012.

Professional Career

Llagostera Vives turned professional in 1996. While she was a capable singles player, winning two titles on the WTA Tour and achieving a career-high singles ranking of World No. 35 in June 2005, her greatest successes came in doubles.

She was a dominant doubles player, winning 16 career titles and achieving a career-high ranking of World No. 5 in November 2009. A significant highlight of her doubles career was winning the WTA Finals in 2009. She reached the semifinals of the French Open in 2010 and 2012, and the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and Wimbledon on multiple occasions.
