When he was a junior player, he made it into the Top 75. Kopřiva turned pro in 2015 but he did not make his ATP Tour debut until 2021. This was at the Swiss Open Gstaad. There, he achieved one of the biggest wins of his career, when he bested Denis Shapovalov.
