Zizou Bergs was born on June 3, 1999, in Lommel, Belgium, and currently resides in Neerpelt. Standing 185 cm tall and weighing 83 kg, he plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand.He turned professional in 2018 and was coached by Kristof Vliegen through 2025. Bergs was named after French football legend Zinedine Zidane, whose nickname is “Zizou.” His parents supported his early tennis development, and he has become known for his competitive spirit and positive attitude on and off the court.

Bergs competed actively on the junior circuit and made his ATP main draw debut as a wildcard at the 2020 European Open, recording his first ATP win that year.Career
