Anna Nikolayevna Kalinskaya was born on December 2, 1998, in Moscow, Russia. She stands 175 cm tall and is right-handed with a two-handed backhand. She is coached by Patricia Tarabini. Since turning pro, she has earned around US$4.8 million in prize money.Kalinskaya’s parents, Nikolay and Elena, are both former professional badminton players, and her brother Nikolay is a footballer. She moved to the United States at age 14 to pursue tennis and later trained at the Mouratoglou Academy in France.
She currently trains in Miami and Moscow. Kalinskaya briefly dated Nick Kyrgios in 2020 and fellow tennis player Jannik Sinner. Off the court, she enjoys cooking, shopping, watching basketball, and spending time with her dogs.

Kalinskaya achieved a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 3. She won 16 junior titles (eight singles, eight doubles), including the 2016 Australian Open girls’ doubles with Tereza Mihalíková. She was runner-up in singles at the 2015 French Open and in doubles at the 2015 US Open.Career
Kalinskaya turned professional in 2016. She made her WTA main-draw debut at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow that year. She won her first WTA 125 singles title at Midland in 2023.Her breakthrough season came in 2024, she reached her first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open. That same year, she also reached her first WTA 1000 final at the Dubai Tennis Championships, defeating top players including Jeļena Ostapenko, Coco Gauff, and Iga Świątek before finishing runner-up.
She was also a finalist at the Berlin Ladies Open and made the fourth round at Wimbledon and the third round at the US Open, achieving her best results at each major.
Kalinskaya has won four WTA doubles titles, including the 2025 Madrid Open with Sorana Cîrstea, and has been a runner-up in five other WTA doubles finals. She reached a career-high doubles ranking of No. 48 in May 2025. Kalinskaya has represented Russia in the Billie Jean King Cup, helping the team reach the final in 2020.
In 2025, she won her biggest doubles title at the WTA 1000 Madrid Open and reached the doubles final at the Brisbane International. She missed the 2025 Australian Open due to illness but returned to reach the semifinals in Singapore and the quarterfinals in Charleston.
