Sander Gille is a professional tennis player from Belgium, who is currently at World Number 24 in the doubles division. Also, as of December 2018, his singles division ranking was in World Number 574. Gille was born and raised in Hasselt, Belgium, where he started playing sports like football, gymnastics, tennis, and swimming at the age of 6. When he went to college at East Tennessee State University, he was also a varsity player.

Professional Tennis Career

Gille started his first ATP Tour in 2019, where he competed in the Swedish Open with his partner, Joran Vliegen. A week later, they both conquered another doubles title at Gstaad and their third title at the 2019 Zhuhai Championships. With his partnership with Vliegen, they were unbeatable as their style in playing is almost the same.

Personal Life

When he was in college, he joined the tennis team, so he could improve his skills. In an interview, Gille mentioned that he enjoyed outdoor clay and indoor hard courts. His favorite tennis tournament was at the Wimbledon Open, and his favorite play was one-handed backhand.
