Career
As a juniors player, he won his first ITF junior singles title in 2012. He also went on to represent his country in the Youth Olympic Games. He ended his pro rookie year ranked No.358 and at the start of his career, he mostly played in the ITF Futures Tour.He got his first ATP match win in 2018 and the same year, he made his first Grand Slam main draw appearance at the 2018 US Open. The following year, he qualified to play at the Australian Open, and in the same year, he broke through the Top 100 for the first time after his win at the Launceston Tennis International. He also made it to the second round of the French Open this year.
2020 saw him back at the second of the US Open. In 2021, he appeared in the main draw of all four Grand Slam events, making it to the third round of the Aussie Open, the 2nd round of the French Open once again, and the 2nd round of Wimbledon. He also made his best Grand Slam finish to date this year, in the quarterfinals of the US Open. This year, he also broke into the Top 40, reaching his career-high singles ranking of 31.
In 2022, he was 30th-seed at the Aussie Open but lost out in the first round.
