Cristian Garin is a Chilean professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of No.17, which he achieved in September 2021. One of his best Grand Slam finishes was making it to the quarter-finals of 2022 Wimbledon where he lost to Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios. Career
As a junior player, he won an ITF Junior Title in 2011. As a sixteen-year-old in 2012, he made it into the Top 10 of the World Junior rankings. He reached the finals of the 2013 French Open Boys for both singles and doubles.He first entered the ATP rankings in February 2012. He ended the year ranked No.435. In 2014, he received a wildcard entry to the 2014 Royal Guard Open. In the same year, Garín played in the 2014 Davis Cup Americas Zone Group II. He won his first Challenger title in 2016, the Lima Challenger.
He broke into the Top 200 at the start of 2017 and he also made his Grand Slam debut this year, making it through the qualifiers of Wimbledon. In 2022, he would return to the grass-court grand slam and make it through to the quarterfinals.
In 2019, he made it to the second round of the US Open. He would do so again in 2020 and 2021. In 2021, he also made it to the fourth round of the French Open. In 2022, he was he made it as far as the third round of the Australian Open.
