Aslan Karatsev is a professional tennis player from Russia. He turned pro in 2011 and has since appeared in the main draw of all the Grand Slam events as a singles and doubles player. One of his best Grand Slam finishes was the 2021 French Open mixed doubles event finals. He has also won a gold medal for the ROC in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for mixed doubles tennis. Career

He played his first junior match when he was just 14 years old. His junior grand slam debut was at the 2011 French Open. He also later appeared in the 2011 Junior Wimbledon and the 20111 US Open. He played bot doubles.

As a professional player, he debuted in 2011 at the 2013 St Petersburg Open. His career was slightly derailed by injuries and a lack of money to train according to his father.

His did not start to take off till the 2020s. In 2020, he made his Grand Slam debut at the Aussie Open. In 2021, he made it to the semifinals of the same grand slam event. He also had some of the best Grand Slam finishes in his career in 2021, including making it to the third round of the US Open.

After a great 2021, including winning a silver medal for the ROC at the 2020 Olympics, he gained enough ranking points to make it to the No.14 spot in February 2022.

In 2022, he played in the Sydney Tennis Classic where he beat Andy Murray in the finals.
