She stands 1.80 m tall and is right-handed with a two-handed backhand. She is coached by Hendrik Vleeshouwers and has earned more than US$6.1 million in prize money.

Anisimova began playing tennis at age five, inspired by her older sister Maria Anisimova, who played college tennis at the University of Pennsylvania. The family moved to Florida when Amanda was young to support her tennis development. Her father was her primary coach during her junior years, and she also worked with Nick Saviano and Max Fomine.

Off the court, Anisimova enjoys music, running, writing, jet skiing, and going to the beach. She is fluent in English and Russian. Since 2020, she has been in a relationship with Tyler Roos. Career

After a period of inconsistency and personal challenges, including the passing of her father in 2019 and a break from tennis in 2023, Anisimova returned to form in 2024. She reached the fourth round at the Australian Open and made her first WTA 1000 final at the Canadian Open in Toronto, defeating Aryna Sabalenka and Emma Navarro before finishing runner-up to Jessica Pegula.
